Elysian is committed to safer recruitment. All posts are subject to enhanced DBS checks.

The application and recruitment process

Elysian recruits in two stages.

Stage one

The quick completion of an expression of interest form. The link to this form is found within each role vacancy, along with a link to the job description. This form tells us who you are and confirms what role you are looking for, and takes a few minutes.

Once we have reviewed it, candidates whose interests and experience align with the requirements of the role and the needs of the organisation are invited to an initial informal meeting and interview, usually over video call. Before this, applicants are sent our introductory video and are asked to watch it, as it gives a meaningful insight into Elysian and how we work.

Stage two

Candidates who are successful at that stage are invited to a second interview. For frontline roles this stage also includes a trial day at the relevant Elysian site, giving candidates the chance to experience our environment, our approach and our day-to-day work at first hand.

Before the second interview and trial day, candidates are sent the full application form to complete, along with further information about this stage. The second interview is conducted with Elysian managers.

After the trial day and second interview, we gather feedback, including reflections from the young people you have worked with, before making a final decision.

Please note that we are not able to facilitate pre-application visits or phone calls. Shortlisted applicants will have plenty of opportunity to meet the provision and the wider team before any final decision is made.

If you have not received an invitation to an initial interview, please take it that you have not been shortlisted on this occasion.

Some vacancies may also appear on other job sites. Please apply through our website only.
