Our animals

Elysian's animals span horses and ponies, approximately 35 at Shamley Green alone, donkeys, goats, sheep, and a wide range of smaller animals and reptiles including rabbits, guinea pigs, tortoises, bearded dragons and geckos, across its three sites.

Each site has its own animals and its own character: see Our sites for what each one keeps. Every animal at Elysian plays a genuine role in the therapeutic work described on Animal-assisted interventions, not a decorative one.
