Key features of the Elysian Outreach Provision include:
– Specialised interventions delivered by Elysian’s multi-disciplinary team
– Flexible and client-centered approach, adapting to the unique circumstances and needs of each individual.
– Utilisation of therapeutic approaches, including animal-assisted interventions, to engage and support young people in their homes and communities.
– Holistic case management, coordinating support from multiple agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Professionals working within Local Authorities, including those supporting children in need or children in care, are encouraged to refer young people who meet the following criteria:
– Aged between 7 and 19 years old.
– Have been out of school or educational provision for a significant period (3 months or more).
– Currently struggling to engage with services due to severe anxiety or trauma.
Elysian will prioritise referrals according to need and work with each family and the team around the child to work towards and progress goals centred around children and young people re-engaging with the world outside of their isolating anxiety, increasing confidence and breaking down barriers to engagement.
We cover all of Surrey. We ask that you ensure you have the family and young person’s consent before referring to the service. We will visit the family with animals as part of our approaches to decreasing anxiety, so this service is particularly suitable for children and young people who have a connection with animals,
We are not able to take referrals from children and young people who have a history of presenting with challenging, harmful or aggressive behaviours, including history of harming animals.
