Important Information Before Booking
At Elysian, we aim to provide a positive, enjoyable and safe riding and horse experience for all participants. To ensure expectations are clear, please read the following information carefully before booking.
All riding lessons and horse experience sessions must be booked and paid for in advance. Places are not confirmed until payment has been received and confirmed by Elysian.
Our sessions are designed as riding lessons and often include horse experiences, which may include horse care, grooming, handling and other equestrian activities alongside riding. The exact structure of sessions may vary depending on rider ability, group composition, horse welfare considerations, weather conditions and operational requirements.
Elysian reserves the right to change instructors, staff members, volunteers, horses, lesson structures, group arrangements, session content and timings at any time. Whilst we will always aim to provide consistency wherever possible, we cannot guarantee that a particular instructor, horse, volunteer or member of staff will be available for any specific session.
Lessons may be delivered by any authorised member of the Elysian team.
Elysian reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule or amend sessions due to weather conditions, horse welfare requirements, health and safety concerns, staffing availability, site operational needs, emergencies or any other unforeseen circumstances.
Bookings are non-refundable. Missed sessions, non-attendance, changes of mind, holidays, alternative commitments, illness or other personal circumstances will not normally qualify for a refund.
In certain exceptional circumstances, and entirely at Elysian’s discretion, we may choose to offer an alternative session. However, this is not guaranteed and should not be expected.
Parents and carers remain responsible for children at all times outside of the booked session. Riders should arrive promptly and be collected promptly at the end of their session.
Visitors must park in designated visitor parking areas and report to Reception on arrival. A member of the Elysian team will direct participants to the appropriate equestrian area.
All riders must provide and wear a professionally fitted riding hat that meets current safety standards, suitable riding footwear with a heel, and appropriate clothing for riding, horse handling and outdoor conditions. Elysian reserves the right to refuse participation where suitable equipment is not provided.
Horse riding and horse-related activities are inherently hazardous activities. Participation is entirely voluntary and all participants accept the risks associated with riding, handling and working around horses.
Elysian Riding Lessons and Horse Experiences are recreational equestrian activities and are not specialist therapeutic, educational or SEN support services. We are unable to provide dedicated 1:1 support, personal care, behavioural support or specialist supervision within these sessions. It is the responsibility of parents, carers and participants to ensure that the rider is suitable for the activity being offered.
By proceeding with a booking, participants confirm that they have read, understood and accepted these arrangements and agree to comply with all instructions, policies and procedures issued by Elysian and its staff.
