We are a developing and expanding organisation, and we consider all our employees as being part of our journey of positive contribution to the lives of our clients and increasing accessibility across Surrey as we expand into wider provision, and other sites.
Please find application form below for applying for any posts you have seen advertised on external advertising websites.
When we recruit, all posts are usually available on our organisation page on Indeed (in addition to other pages), which you can access by clicking HERE
We will offer work experience opportunities for young people who are currently studying at level 2 or 3 and able to work on their own with minimal guidance and without supervision. This may include e.g. Merrist Wood students studying level 2 or 3 Animal Management who need week day placements (please complete form below).
We also offer young people 12+ who are able to work without adult monitoring/supervision weekend and holiday volunteering. Younger children and young people may volunteer with their parents/carers or a responsible adult. This includes groups run by by professionals.
We offer occasional holiday volunteering also. This involves various weeding, mucking out, animal acre, feeding and cleaning tasks. Due to the nature of this work (both weekends and holidays) and the lack of staff support, this is only for older young people and adults who are able to work independently without adult supervision, and they undertake volunteering placement with the understanding that parents and carers retain full responsibility.
We are not able to accommodate children and young people who are not able to work independently with minimal adult support for volunteering. The staff supporting volunteers are not the same Elysian staff who support our clients/pupils/children and young people who access our services during the week/term time.
For young people who wish to do this, they can complete a volunteers application form, downloaded through the link below and returned to firstname.lastname@example.org
We ask you kindly not to email ‘for more information about volunteering’ as we struggle to keep up with these vague requests. Please read this information and if you have specific questions, please do email them and we will do our best to answer them.
Volunteers arrive at 9am promptly (after this time there may no longer be someone near yard/gate/reception as they all go out and about on the farm). Together with other volunteers they go through a ‘to do list’ and work either on their own or in groups undertaking the tasks. Volunteers either finish at lunch time (12-12.30) or 5pm, as this is when everyone, and the staff, return to the main farm yard. Directions to the Elysian Car park is on our website under ‘contact us’ and volunteers are collected/taken to the gate on arrival.
Please do not walk through our gates if you are unfamiliar with our dogs, please wait to be collected.
Professionals wishing to volunteer during the week/Term time, please complete the Elysian application form and email to email@example.com, including details of volunteering commitment availability.
We ask that all potential candidates for roles we advertise apply either through Indeed or by completing the below application form and returning it to us. We will need an Elysian Application form completed as part of our assessment for all candidates, however we will do initial shortlisting on the basis of a CV and covering letter (and assessment question responses) through Indeed, and candidates can complete the Elysian application form following a successful first interview, before attending their second interview.
An absolute minimum requirement for all posts we advertise is significant professional experience in working with children and young people.
We get a lot of requests for employment with a short summary of someone’s experience, please accept our apologies that we cannot respond to every single one, and we would encourage you to keep an eye on our roles available on the indeed link.
Email with any application or volunteering/work enquires to: firstname.lastname@example.org
