Pony Play for 4 – 6 year olds
We have loved planning these and we are very confident every person that comes to any of our sessions will love it!
Suitable for those who:
- Love animals
- Love being outside
- Want to feel more confident and/or reduce mild/moderate social anxiety
Pony Play is all about the children having fun with the ponies and any family members who join in!
They have a whole two hours of grooming, decorating and playing with their pony, we sometimes also build obstacles and jumps in the arena, and sometimes we take the ponies for a walk (age dependent). We then walk around the farm and meet other lovely animals, including rabbits and goats, including reptiles such as the python – should they wish to!
We expect they will be booked up very quickly so if you’re interested – don’t miss your chance!
The programmes are tailored to the groups ages, abilities and needs. The groups are lead by staff with an expertise in working therapeutically with children and young people, with a range of needs. The sessions overall aim is to increase confidence through appropriately challenging yet enjoyable activities. Children wishing to take part in this session, must attend with an accompanying adult and follow instructions, within a group environment.
Facilitated by fully vetted staff with enhanced DBSs.
To book please complete the booking process below, including a form and payment through paypal. Please note we may have to cancel sessions if attendance is low. The system will not automatically send you a confirmation email, but if you have paid via paypal, we have your booking!
Please do not bring any animals on site, or food and drink (due to health and safety regulations).
When you arrive at Elysian, you will see a car park. Park inside the car park, and the staff at Elysian will meet you at the gate at the event start time. They will then take you to the hand wash to wash your hands before the sessions starts.
The sessions will be outside, and we practice social distancing guidelines. Masks are optional while we are outside. Please dress for the farm where it can get quite muddy. Make sure you have the following with you, waterproofs, wellie boots or walking boots and a sunhat as you never know what the British weather is going to do!
Children with SEN/additional needs are welcome, we only ask you let us know what these are so we can adjust any session plans as needed to meet need. All attendees must be able to engage in activities safely.
