Pony Club for 9 – 12 yr olds
We have loved planning these and we are very confident every person that comes to any of our sessions will love it!
Suitable for those who:
- Love animals
- Love being outside
- Want to feel more confident and/or reduce mild/moderate social anxiety
Pony Club is all about the children having fun with the ponies!
The session will vary depending on the day, however they are likely to be involved in any of the following: grooming, painting horse shoes, making horse feeds and meeting the other animals we have on site if they wish to! There will also be a 30 minute ride included for all attendees in our school arena. For the ride you will need to bring along your own British Standard Riding Hat – PAS015. Unfortunately we are unable to loan hats but are able to loan body protectors.
We expect these will be booked up very quickly so if you’re interested – don’t miss your chance!
The programmes are tailored to the groups ages, abilities and needs. The groups are lead by staff with an expertise in working therapeutically with children and young people, with a range of needs. The sessions overall aim is to increase confidence through appropriately challenging yet enjoyable activities. Children wishing to take part in this session, must be able to attend without an accompanying adult and be able to follow instructions, within a group environment.
Facilitated by fully vetted staff with enhanced DBSs.
To book please follow the Book Button. Please note we may need to cancel sessions if attendance is low.
Please do not bring any animals on site. There will be a short snack and drink break half way through the session so please bring small snack such as a biscuit or piece of fruit with you, we are able to provide drinking water.
When you arrive at Elysian, you will see a car park. Park inside the car park, and the staff at Elysian will meet you at the gate at the event start time. They will then take you to the hand wash to wash your hands before the sessions starts.
The sessions will be outside, and we practice social distancing guidelines. Masks are optional while we are outside. Please dress for the farm where it can get quite muddy. Make sure you have the following with you, waterproofs, wellie boots or walking boots and a sunhat as you never know what the British weather is going to do!
